Coton Green-All About Us!

Coton Green FC was formed back in 1982 when it ran a very successful U13’s team and has steadily grown over the last 25 years now boasting teams from U8’s to U16’s with two senior teams giving an outlet for its older players.

The Junior section currently play their games in the Tamworth Junior League, with the Saturday Senior section in Division 8 of the Birmingham AFA and the Sunday Senior section in Division 1 of the Federation Brewery League.

Coton Green committee members were the driving force behind the formation of the now well established mini soccer, that teams up to and including U10’s now enjoy in the area. In the summer of 2002 Coton Green were awarded the FA’s prestigious Charter Standard Club status and then within 12 months progressed to become only the second club in Tamworth to be awarded Charter Standard Development Club status.

In March of 2003, Coton Green FC were proud to be the first to secure formal links with Tamworth Ladies FC, another well established club which have also achieved the FA’s prestigious Charter Standard Club status. This gave both Clubs suitable opportunities for girls and boys to enjoy football. Both Clubs are looking forward to a long and healthy working relationship to promote and improve the standards of football within the community.

In June 2003 and after 3 years of hard work Coton Green were rewarded with a massive grant of £334,889 from the Football Foundation which enabled the Club to provide impressive changing facilities for all it’s members and improve access to it’s home ground in New Mill Lane, Fazeley.

Coton Green FC are always looking for new members and would welcome any child or parent who would like to be involved with the club.
